Our new range is specifically designed to target the entry level racer and automotive enthusiast. Street Division has developed its own range of H-beam connecting rods to service the majority of platforms that are in the Nitto range. These connecting rods are produced from the same forgings and to the same tolerances as the Nitto connecting rods with some minor design adjustments to make them more affordable to everyone.
We have also worked closely with CP Pistons to develop and update their shelf stock Sports Compact range, bringing it into line with the demands of the modern market. We now stock the CP range with the latest updates and features available.

THE BEST STREET R34 GTR IN THE WORLD?
Is this @b2r_motorsports built R34 GTR the best street R34 GTR in the world? It certainly has a strong case given the low km chassis, MNPII colour and the gear that sleeps under the hood. Affectionately dubbed "Project America", this build consists of a whole heap of the best components in the industry.
It boasts a Nitto RB30 3.6L (big bore) Wide Journal stroker kit to give it mega response for the street and Roll Racing purposes. This rig also features a Albins sequential gearbox to help it smash through the gears and transmit the power to the tyres. The LMGT4 wheels complete this classic R34 GTR look.

RED HOT CRANKSHAFTS!
The heat treatment process is so cool to see. Once the crankshafts have had their initial "roughing" machining process completed, they undergo the heat treatment process.
Heat treatment involves the repeated heating and cooling of the crankshaft material to increase it's strength and durability. It also increases surface hardness and wear resistance, but more interestingly, it actually increases the stability of the material during the machining process.
After this, the crankshafts are left to cool and then they move onto their final machining processes, nitriding and QC before they are boxed up and ready to ship.

The spiciest 3 banger engine out there is about to get a lot spicier! We're happy to let everyone know that the development and design process for the G16E GTS aluminium rods is complete and they'll be available in a few weeks. We always validate our aluminium connecting rod designs in a block before production commences. Simple technologies like 3D printing make connecting rod development far more streamlined, cost effective and efficient than it otherwise might be.
Drag Series pistons will also be produced to suit these rods with all the features that everyone is used to. HD forging, gas ports, full round skirt design, PVD rings and more. It's time for the G16E GTS to go up another level!

@mclucasben sent us his hot gold VL Commodore using a DOHC RB30 platform. This cracking street build produces just over 650hp and uses a Nitto oil pump to get that liquid gold all the way around the set up. You don't need massive power to have a fun car and this is a testament to that.

It's Bathurst 12 Hour time and I think, by now, we all know what that means. It'd be rude not to bring out the footage of Racetech Performance and their infamous R32 Skyline. What is it and what’s it for?
CMM stands for Coordinate Measuring Machine and it is used, in our case, as a quality control and reverse engineering tool. The CMM checks every single critical dimension of the crankshaft, as shown in this video, and we use this to ensure our parts are in spec.
Here specifically, you are watching the diameter of the main and big end journals being checked to ensure that they are within our strict tolerance. This is why our crankshafts are known for being spot on out of the box. You get what you pay for 😎

Currently approaching the final stages of development are our RB26 Wide Journal aluminium connecting rods. There's been a lot of demand for these within the past 8-12 months, so we've answered those calls and these will be available for purchase within the coming the months. We're targeting well in excess of 2000hp with these connecting rods, so they will be for billet block applications only.
As always, these connecting rods will be to suit our pistons and crankshaft.

@dahtone_racing buttoning up another RB28 Wide Journal kit for a customer of his. The V2 rods are a nice, chunky piece, but boy do they look stumpy when you put them in a 121.5mm RB26 format. Plenty of revs and plenty of torque can be produced with these rods. They can take whatever you throw at them!

Looking back to when ZEUS from @croydonracingdevelopments took the world RB record the first time with a 5.70 @ 250mph. The following day, it went out and bettered its record with the current PB of 5.67 @ 256mph. We wonder what the team will be able to extract out of the car this year?!

NITTO TOP 10: #1
ZEUS. It is very hard for us to look past Zeus for the number 1 spot in the Nitto Top 10 this year. This @croydonracingdevelopments competitor took the crown for the quickest and fastest RB in the world using our alloy rod 3.2L Wide Journal stroker kit, running 5.67 @ 256mph. The team achieved the highest accolade in the RB world and it is for this reason that we award ZEUS the top spot in the Nitto Top 10 for 2024.
The team are always searching for better and always aiming to further development with this car and we look forward to what 2025 holds for this car. Next, it's gunning for top import in the world...

@dreamprojects15 takes the number 2 spot this year in the Nitto Top 10. What this car achieved is nothing short of incredible, taking out the Open Class win in the World Time Attack Challenge. We partnered with the Dream Project team and @jhh_racing to come up with a bulletproof SR20 bottom end consisting of our very first SR20 EN40B crankshaft, V2 rods and custom pistons.
Photos do not do this car justice at all. It has to be seen in the flesh to truly appreciate the engineering that has gone into it. We thank the team for trusting us with developing a rotating assembly for their engine and we look forward to seeing what this thing can produce come WTAC 2025.

NITTO TOP 10: GAS RACING CELICA
It's very hard to go past the Gas Racing Celica for the third step on the podium. Joe, Dave and Paul have been instrumental in helping us develop our 2JZ range, giving us the best test bed/proving ground we could possibly ask for. Aside from their help, this car is Australia's quickest and fastest 2JZ, having reset their record earlier in the year. Currently, this beast has taken multiple event wins this year using our 2JZ components and most recently began using our 2JZ 3.2L stroker kits.
It was hard to go past the team for 3rd spot in our Top 10 for 2024. We thank the team for their efforts and we hope to continue our growth together in 2025.

NITTO TOP 10: #4
BYPOLA from @maatouksracing took the crown for the quickest skyline this year with a stonking 6.31 pass earlier this year. The team have been chipping away at it for a long, long time and finally their vision came to fruition. Congratulations to Assaf and the Maatouks Racing team on achieving such an incredible feat and we look forward to seeing what the car can do next year.

NITTO TOP 10: #5
LOL13B and the Gas Racing team take 5th position for 2024 with this weapon 2JZ swapped RX7. This absolute rocket has been a great test bed and proving ground for our V2 2JZ connecting rods and pistons. The car has gone 6.85 down the quarter with a PB pass of 209mph. On our steel V2 connecting rods, this is absolutely incredible.
We look forward to growing this relationship in 2025 as we bring some more new 2JZ components to test.

NITTO TOP 10: #6
WARZLA from @croydonracingdevelopments takes a very worthy 6th place in the Nitto Top 10. It is now the quickest and fastest R34 GTR in the world, using a Nitto alloy rod Wide Journal 3.2L stroker kit. What's more, the car did it with barely any testing under its belt, so it's fair to say that there is more in the tank.

@_datstuf_ making even more progress with this impeccable Datsun 1600 build. A Nitto SR22 stroker kit packs the bottom end of this little weapon that features a whole heap of high attention to detail elements. The shaved engine bay, red cam cover and polished turbo and intake manifold all work very nicely together to create an awesome appearance.

THE HITMAN. Quickest and Fastest Radial IRS S-chassis in the world is no mean feat, let alone doing it on its first full pass! The @maatouksracing team use a Nitto alloy rod 3.2L stroker kit to help this thing sing and make its way to record times and speeds at the end of the strip.

PIN BORE HONING
What is it and why is it so important?
It might not look like much, but this process is extremely critical for the overall functionality and success of the piston. Ensuring the final size of the pin bore is perfect gives the gudgeon pin the opportunity to its job properly and also ensures the piston has a long life. It also makes the engine builder’s life a whole lot easier.
Incorrect pin bore honing can cause premature failure and wear of both the gudgeon pin itself as well as the piston. If there is too large a clearance between the pin bore and the pin, it causes the pin to move around more than it should inside bore. This can cause catastrophic engine failure due to the increased “slapping” of the pin inside the pin bore - this has the potential to wear the piston and the pin very quickly.

It wouldn't be a top 10 without a hot R34 GTR. This particular one is the Nitto powered John Wick from @motorsportsmechanical which definitely turned plenty of heads when it came out for the first time.

*NITTO TOP 10 2024*
Well, it's that time of year again where we present to you our Top 10 cars for the year. Kicking things off in 10th place is @xtremegtr, once again making it into the Nitto Top 10. This Nitto RB28 juggernaut is certainly worthy of a spot on this list and with some luck, would've been far higher.
Testing for @worldtimeattackchallenge looked extremely promising for the team, however, the event itself presented some difficulties which culminated in a tyre failure roughly halfway through their shootout lap. According to their data, they were on for a mega lap, but the racing gods said it was not to be this year.
Rest assured that the team will be back better again next year as the WTAC crew have revised some of the rules to prevent these issues from occurring.

Well, there’s no better way to wrap up our USA tour than spending a couple of days with the team at @cpcarrillo_ . From Indianapolis for PRI, to LA for our visit to their facilities, their hospitality has been incredible. It was great to see the truly first class facilities that our components are made in. You can eat off the floor of the machine shop, that’s how clean it is.

The @b2r_motorsports team finished the year off strongly with some huge results in the final Roll Racing event of the season. @roumanos.m with RHM took the win with its new engine combination, our RB34 stroker kit. The team took 4 spots in the top 5, with another R34 GTR, Project America, using a Nitto RB36 stroker kit.

First of all, massive thank you to @cpcarrillo_ for their hospitality and generosity during our time at Indy. It was fantastic to meet a large portion of the team for the first time and it was great fun to share plenty of good times together. Not to mention, their display was great and the party they threw at the stand was even better. Thank you CP! We will be returning the favour when you come to Australia next.
PRI also presents plenty of interesting new products, people and unveilings. It was great to see @ryantuerck unveil his project Toyota Celica with a G16E GTS that uses our rods and pistons and it was also great to meet @streetalphapodcast @_tukes__ for the first time as well.
All in all, PRI was great to be at and we look forward to coming back next year.

If you have your own pistons specs for a given engine, we can make it happen for you! We do custom piston jobs on a regular basis for various customers for various applications. These particular pistons are high comp RB30 stroker pistons with a custom crown spec, custom pin height amongst others. Almost as custom as it gets!
