All of our steel connecting rods are manufactured from high grade billet 4340 connecting rod forgings. You may hear other brands manufacture their connecting rods out of 4340 as well, but know that not all 4340 material is the same. We ensure that the 4340 used in our connecting rods meets our high quality expectations and this is achieved through X-Ray and Sonic testing the material before the manufacturing process commences.
All of the machining and quality control of our connecting rods is done with CNC technology.
Our engineers are able to use our Computer Aided Design (CAD) software in order to optimise the designs for a given application. Using the tools within CAD, we are able to optimally design components for any application. Additionally, these tools also enable us to validate the functionality of our designs.
A significant element of our connecting rod design process is the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA). With this tool, we are able to intricately analyse and validate the design of our connecting rods in order to produce a connecting rod that best suits the need of the customer.
All of our steel connecting rods come standard with ARP 2000 connecting rod bolts. However, we also offer the option to upgrade to ARP Custom Age 625+ bolts.
