The 4G63 is very much so a tried, true and tested platform. The 4G63 is synonymous with the Mitsubishi Evolution brand and has earned a reputation as a strong and reliable 2.0L kit throughout the years. However, as time has progressed, the desire for greater capacity has given rise to us developing a kit that increases the capacity to 2.3L
The kit consists of our Nitto/CP pistons in 85.5mm/+0.020” and 86mm/+.0.40” bore sizes. These pistons are cut from low silicon content 2618 material in CP’s Turbo HD forging. In addition to these, the pistons are complete with Nitto custom specifications, PVD rings, 9310 gudgeon pins, accumulator grooves and friction reduction grooves.
The connecting rods are our robust I-beam design. Made from double melted forged billet 4340, this connecting rod features a stout I-beam design that has proven time and again to be capable of holding considerably high power without the added cost of the V2s. These connecting rods come with 3/8 ARP 2000 rod bolts as standard, with the option to upgrade to Custom Age 625+.
Completing the kit is the EN40B billet crankshaft in 100mm stroke. This crankshaft has been purposely designed with strength and high power applications in mind. The crankshafts are an immaculate piece with precision manufactured knife edging to reduce weight and cut through crank case oil mist with ease. This enables the crankshaft to rev freely and easily.
