The Ford Barra is an underrated combination that has an incredible amount of potential when pushed to the limit. A product of Australia, this 4.0L 6 cylinder motor is capable of some special things, but its major downfall is that its large capacity limits its ability to rev enough for various racing applications. As such, we have developed the ultimate combination that finds the happy medium between the ability to rev highly and retaining a large capacity.

The Nitto 3.8L destroke kit is a globally acclaimed item, holding world records and continues to grow in popularity. The kit includes custom Nitto/CP pistons available in both 92.5mm/+0.010” and 92.75mm/+0.020”, cut from CP’s Turbo HD forging in low silicon content 2618 material. The pistons are equipped with our custom crown specifications, PVD ring sets, 9310 wrist pins, accumulator grooves and friction reduction grooves, culminating in a truly robust piston.

The connection between our crankshaft and piston is made possible by our V2 connecting rod. Made from double melted forged billet 4340, the V2 features a revised I-beam pocket and CHE pin bushes amongst other features to easily produce 2000hp. These connecting rods come with 7/16 ARP 2000 rod bolts as standard, with the option to upgrade to Custom Age 625+.

Completing the kit is the tested and proven 94mm stroke 3.8L destroker crankshaft. This crankshaft has been purposely designed with strength and high power applications in mind. The crankshafts are an immaculate piece with precision manufactured knife edging to reduce weight and cut through crank case oil mist with ease. This enables the crankshaft to rev freely and easily.
