Connecting rod installation instructions
The whole Nitto 4340 connecting rod range is produced from the highest quality double melted forged billet material. Double melted 4340 is a significant feature when compared to other aftermarket offerings which are typically only single melted. The extra melting process removes material impurities, ensuring the 4340 material our rods are made from are of the highest standard. The forging of the billet also ensures a tight and uniform relationship between material grains, enhancing the strength of the one piece forging, unlike the commonly used two piece designs in the lower end of the market.
Our V2 connecting rods are our flagship steel connecting rods. In RB30, 2JZ and Barra applications, they have exceeded 2000hp – a clear display of how stout these connecting rods are. The market was crying out for a steel connecting rod that could withstand these power levels and we delivered.
The V2 differs from the regular I-beam in a multitude of ways. Most noticeably, the I-beam pocket has been revised in order to include more material in key areas. The sides of the beam and the pin end are profiled, not straight cut as seen with our H-beams and I-beams, and, the pin bushes have been upgraded to a CHE bush which is made from their proprietary material.
These features culminate in multiple 6 and 7 second drag builds as well as World Time Attack Challenge winners and Roll Racing dominators.
