Our whole piston range is manufactured by CP Carrillo, based in California, USA. CP Carrillo are a subsidiary of Pankl Racing who are an Austrian automotive components manufacturer that manufacture components for the highest levels of motorsport including Formula 1, Le Mans Prototypes and Moto GP just to name a few. This means that every Nitto piston benefits from world leading technologies and processes that are passed from Pankl onto CP.

The Drag Series of pistons are a custom piece that are produced to our own specifications, purposely created for the sake of Drag Racing. As with all of our range, these pistons are made from low silicon content 2618 aluminium from the CP Turbo HD forging. Additionally, the Drag Series pistons feature a full round skirt design to support high cylinder pressure and high boost applications and this is reinforced by the use of pin button locking systems as opposed to the more common and traditional wire lock style (where applicable).

All drag series pistons feature horizontal gas ports, PVD ring sets where applicable, accumulator grooves to aid in ring stability and double forced pin oilers to ensure that the gudgeon pins remain adequately oiled. At this level of performance, we have left no stone unturned with all of these features serving a crucial purpose.

All of these features combine to create the world beating pistons that boast multiple world records across multiple categories in drag racing and circuit racing.
